Medical Gas Systems

Medical Gas Pipeline Installation

Execution quality is what turns a good design into a working system. Our installation work is built on line cleanliness from the first metre: degreased materials, brazing under inert gas, protection of open ends during the works, and clear labelling for every gas and isolation zone — with documentation that makes testing, handover and later maintenance straightforward.

Scope

Installation scope

  • Installation of sources, manifolds and plants in the source room
  • Medical copper line runs with brazing under inert gas
  • Supports, fixing and wall/joint crossings
  • Isolation valves and area AVSU units
  • Outlets, bed head units and pendants
  • Alarm panel and sensor wiring and connection
  • Labelling, flow direction and gas identification
  • Line cleanliness and protection up to the testing stage
Scope

Working inside a live facility

In live facilities, tie-ins and temporary isolation are planned in advance with the facility management: affected departments, outage duration and the return-to-service sequence after testing are all defined beforehand.

Deliverables

  • Installed and labelled network
  • As-built drawings
  • Tie-in and isolation record
  • Full readiness for testing and commissioning

Where this service applies

  • Hospitals under construction
  • Extension of an existing department
  • Renewal of an ageing network
  • Operating theatres and ICU
  • Emergency and inpatient departments
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Why is brazing under inert gas required?

Brazing without an inert purge forms oxide inside the tube that can travel with the gas to the terminal unit. Purging with inert gas during brazing prevents it from forming.

Can installation be phased?

Yes. Work can be split along isolation zones so one area is handed over and returns to service while work continues elsewhere.

Have a project or an existing facility that needs an engineering review?

Our engineering team can review your requirement and propose a solution suited to the application, the site and the applicable requirements.
