A medical line valve allows part of the medical gas network to be isolated without shutting down the rest of the facility, and is a core element of the maintenance, expansion and emergency response plan.
What is it?
The valve is installed at defined positions on main and branch lines per the approved isolation schematic, is lockable to prevent unauthorised operation, and carries clear identification of the gas and the area served. Size and end connections are selected per pipe size, operating pressure and the approved project specification.
