Medical Lockable Line Valve
Medical Lockable Line Valve
A medical line valve allows part of the medical gas network to be isolated without shutting down the rest of the facility, and is a core element of the maintenance, expansion and emergency response plan.

What is it?
The valve is installed at defined positions on main and branch lines per the approved isolation schematic, is lockable to prevent unauthorised operation, and carries clear identification of the gas and the area served. Size and end connections are selected per pipe size, operating pressure and the approved project specification.
Features
- Lockable to prevent unauthorised operation
- Isolation of a branch without facility shutdown
- End connections suited to brazing with medical copper
- Clear identification of gas and area served
- Suited to maintenance and future expansion plans
- Quick quarter-turn operation in emergencies
Applications
- Hospitals and medical complexes
- Operating theatres and intensive care units
- Emergency and inpatient departments
- Dialysis centres
- Day-surgery centres and clinics
- Expansion and refurbishment projects in healthcare facilities

Frequently asked questions
Where are isolation valves located in the network?
On main risers, at floor and critical-area entries and upstream of AVSUs, so any area can be isolated without affecting other departments — as defined in the approved isolation schematic.
