P3 Medical Gas Terminal Units

A terminal unit is where medical equipment connects to the gas pipeline, and each gas socket accepts only its matching probe so that cross connection is prevented. Phoenix Pipeline Products (P3) manufactures a UK-made terminal unit family in different gas, mounting and first-fix connection configurations.

Overview

What is it?

Each unit has a 1st fix connected to the pipeline and a 2nd fix carrying the self-sealing valve and the gas-identified fascia. The 1st fix differs by location: a Ø12 mm copper stub brazed into the pipeline, a NIST connector, or a rear-entry hose barb for pendants. Units are fully tested and certified prior to despatch per the manufacturer's published data.
