P3 Area Valve Service Units (AVSU)
An AVSU is the point where the medical gas supply to a defined area or department is isolated, allowing staff to shut the supply quickly in an emergency without affecting the rest of the building. P3 offers a UK-made AVSU family with several enclosure and access options.
What is it?
The unit is a lockable ball valve with copper stubs and BS EN ISO 18082 NIST connectors inside a lockable enclosure. Access is via key lock, a break window, or an emergency release lever depending on the version. Pressure sensors are available for connection to the area alarm panel.
Features
- Available configurations: metal version with 22 mm, 28 mm or 42 mm valve, and polymer versions with 22 mm or 28 mm valve
- Access options: key lock, breakable window or emergency release lever
- Versions with pressure sensors for the area alarm panel, and versions without
- Meets the requirements of HTM 02-01 and HTM 2022 for medical gas pipeline systems and BS EN ISO 7396-1
