P3 Medical Air Plants

P3 Medical Air Plants

A medical air plant produces the air used by respiratory equipment and critical departments, and is designed to cover the load with the largest compressor out of service. P3 manufactures a UK-made plant family in several configurations to suit facility size.

Overview

What is it?

The plant uses oil-injected screw compressors as standard for low-noise, vibration-free running, with oil-free compressors available on request. It includes a duplex heatless desiccant dryer with an economy circuit, transducer-driven electronic HMI controls, and volt-free normally closed contacts for connection to central alarm systems and BMS. Plants are supplied with all interconnecting pipework and wiring and are factory tested and certified.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How is the number of compressors chosen?

From the facility design load, with the requirement that it is fully covered with the largest compressor out of service — which is why configurations run from duplex to hexaplex.
