Overview

What is it?

The plant comprises two or more compressors in duty rotation, an air receiver, a treatment train of filters and dryers, duplex pressure regulation and a control panel whose alarm signals are wired to the medical gas alarm system. Sizing ensures the plant covers the design load with the largest unit out of service, per the approved project specification. The manufacturer's official documentation references ISO 7396-1, HTM 02-01 and NFPA 99.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the HOSPITAIR versions?

They differ in capacity and packaging: a compact unit, the PACK assembly, a ready SKID, the C cabin for outdoor installation or tight plant rooms, and the HYPERBARE version for hyperbaric chamber applications. The core function is the same; selection depends on load and plant-room space.

How is medical air plant capacity determined?

It is derived from the design flow at terminal units and the diversity factor, with the requirement that full load is covered with the largest compressor out of service, per the approved project specification.
