MILS ANAESTIVAC AGSS Plant
ANAESTIVAC is the MILS anaesthetic gas scavenging (AGSS) plant. It protects theatre staff from continuous exposure to waste anaesthetic gases by extracting them from the anaesthetic machine and discharging them at a safe point outside the building.

What is it?
The system comprises duty and standby extraction fans or pumps, a pipeline entirely separate from the medical vacuum network, AGSS terminal units in the theatres and an external discharge point away from air intakes. It runs continuously during operating hours and its status signals are wired to the alarm panel.
Features
- Available configurations: ANAESTIVAC 1 and ANAESTIVAC 2
- Network independent from the medical vacuum system

Frequently asked questions
Can AGSS be connected to the medical vacuum network?
No. AGSS is executed with an independent network and source, because waste anaesthetic gases must not be introduced into the medical vacuum pipeline or its receiver.
