A water-resistant detector is used in locations exposed to humidity, splashing or wash-down, where standard detectors are unsuitable — such as industrial kitchens and outdoor tank areas.
What is it?
Selection follows the required protection rating and site conditions, and mounting balances proximity to the probable leak source with protection from direct spray. It is wired to the control panel and subject to the same periodic testing and calibration as other detectors.
